How to SPOT: GUESS

• Check the tag, tag should have a rounded sides not square. Some sellers removed the tags for Customs purposes.
• Always check the tags inside stating the "MADE in CHINA". Yes you read it right "MADE in CHINA". Almost all of the bags are manufactured in China. • For newer bag designs, you will see a metal name plate sewn in the bag.
• Online business is a matter of trust so it is much better if you ask the seller if we they can come with you to let the bag be check at the boutique.
• Check the dust bag the latest dustbag of GUESS is the white one with red GUESS print. (will show some pics later)
• Lastly always check the name of the product or check online if GUESS has that kind of bag. Dont be fooled by the cute and sassy looking fake designs. GUESS only design a Sophisticated bag.

How to SPOT: LONGCHAMP

• Your longchamp bag should have a diamond pattern in the outer flap of the bag.
• Flap should have a rich tan color and if you look much closer you will see the uneven color of the flap.
• Snap button should read LONGCHAMP 1948 not vice versa.
• On the back side of the snap button you should read ORIGINAL PYRM 6/4B if you read other than this specially GUANG TONG. Its definitely a fake.
• Way back then LONGCHAMP is manufactures in France but they need to out sourced some other country that manufactured LONGCHAMP is CHINA and TUNISIA.
• Zipper used should be YKK.
• Zipper pulls should have LONGCHAMP (upper) 1948 (below). but some of the older model has LONGCHAMP (upper) then Paris or France (below).
• Snap Button inside has a disk shape plastic.
•  Transparent tag inside should have 10 model number, country of origin and care instructions.

• Check the back of the bag it says "MODELE DEPOSE" meaning original design. Please see photos below for comparison. Le pliage and LM Metal has almost the same aspect in checking the authenticity.

Always remember that all authentic Longchamp bags has this plastic disk.

How to SPOT: MICHAEL KORS EARRINGS/BRACELET/NECKLACE

• Most of the MK accessories that you can find in the online market are made of STAINLESS STEEL but when you check Michael Kors website you can see that most bracelets are made of BRASS.
• Brass is an alloy made of copper and zinc; the proportions of zinc and copper can be varied to create a range of brasses with varying properties. It is a substitutional alloy: atoms of the two constituents may replace each other within the same crystal structure. (from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brass)
• Most online sellers just offer plastic and an MK care card to the package inclusions.
• Your package should be compose of a box, a tag, a pouch and a card, but few sellers can have these inclusions(if you want this better look for a seller who's getting her items in US or better buy at MK Greenbelt). So better to look for seller who has a pouch and a tag.
• Mostly, brass can fade but it will depend on the kind of brass used. Brass can last up to 5 years depending on the climate and the usage of the jewelry. I also have read on how to clean your tarnished jewelry with ketchup and hot water and mild soap.

• Michael Kors bags have INSIGNIAS on every metal part of the bag.
• MK uses only Silver and Gold Metal.
• if your MK has LARGE stitching its a FAKE.
• Take time to look at the tag it should be in light brown tag.
• Check the MK lettering it should be very close together.
• Never forget to check the inside of your bag, you will see a transparent tag indicating the "MADE IN (BLANK)" part, mostly you will see made in China, Indonesia and Malaysia. Then below it  you will see a 2 letter and a 4 number, the 2 letters signifies the style of the bag and the numbers are the year and the month it was made.
• Most of MK bags uses YKK zipper.
• There are many knock off bag at this time so its better to buy from a reputable online shop, and if you have time to visit the mall check the item that you want to buy then compare it to the online shop that you want to buy in.
• MK bags was originally made or manufactured in the US previously but in 2008 they move to CHINA. Yes you read it right CHINA.

• Always check the stitching of the bag.
• Smell and touch the leather of the bag, it should smell a genuine leather (this is a strong smell). Leather also should be glossy.
• Check the brand tag of the bag it has only two colors either gold or silver. Brand tag are either on the outside or inside of the bag.

• lets face it nine west bag are not like Michael Kors or Kate Spade bags. They sell Nine West much affordable than the brand I mentioned, you will distinctly know that the Nine West bag is original or not.

How to Spot: KATE SPADE

Where does Kate Spade bag made? 

•  USA, China, Taiwan (straw bags), Italy (leather), Indonesia and the Philippines (straw bags up to 2002 only). You read it right CHINA and the PHILIPPINES (straw bags only)!
• Nylon bags are usually made from the US until 2002.
• Look at the brand tag, for leather it should be embossed and never glued. for fabric tags it should be sewn not glued again and look at the letters it should be in LOWER CASE/ SMALL LETTER. Fake ones have capital letters
• Always take not that Kate Spade does not have metal brand tags. The only brand tag that in metal is from the palm beach collection way back 2001

How to SPOT: COACH

Coach

• Coach Bag or wristlet usually have zipper that is made by YKK, but some of the other Coach products don’t have YKK as their zipper but it doesn’t mean that it is fake already. You will feel and you can see whether your Coach is authentic or not. Some other zippers used by Coach. Talon or Coach.
• The MADE IN CHINA tag inside, does these mean its fake? Actually no!!, Some Coach products are manufactured in China and the other countries and the materials they used came from the country of origin which is ITALY. Other countries where Coach Bags are made US, Costa Rica, Hungary, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Turkey, Italy and India.
• The Credo Patch,  The last 4-5 digits of the serial number is the style number of the bag.
• Hang tags should be EMBOSSED not INGRAVED.
• Always buy from reputable Sellers and they are willing to meet you in person for you to see the bags personally.
